We are inviting applications for a Co‑Chair with a learning disability, supported by a host organisation.

This is a paid role for an adult with a learning disability who wants to help improve health and social care services across Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.

The Co-Chair will use their  lived experience to help shape decisions, support better services, and make sure the voices of people with learning disabilities are heard.

They will be employed and supported by a host organisation who will provide tailored support where needed.

More details about the role and the application process for the Co-Chair and host organisation are below.

Please apply by: 5pm on 21st May

About the Co‑Chair role

The Co‑Chair is an important role within the Learning Disability Steering Group.

The role helps make sure:

  • Meetings are welcoming, respectful and effective

The Co‑Chair will work closely with:

  • The Learning Disability Programme Manager
  • The Co-Chair of the Regional Learning Disability Group and workstream Chairs and members
  • The host organisation, who will provide employment and tailored support

The steering group meets every two months, mainly online, with some face‑to‑face meetings.
