We bring people together to deliver on regional priorities that will improve health and social care for children and young people.

How we are making a difference to the lives of children and young people.

Our purpose

We oversee the transformation, development and delivery of regional of children's services across Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Who we are

Our members include people from health, social services, the third sector, education and housing.

We will oversee the delivery of the regional priorities to ensure services and support meet the needs of children and young people living across the region.

How will we do this?

We will do this by monitoring progress of the services within scopes; ensuring services deliver anticipated outcomes to children and young people; monitor budgets and ensure value for money is being achieved, and identify opportunities for the commissioning of regional services.

How does the Children's Services Board work?

We have put together a visual representation of the board so you can see how it is structured.

“If I could give advice to any other kid, or social services, I would tell them to come and see this house and prove to them, if you have problems like me, you could get a house like this, and it would change their life.  The best life I’ve ever had is living here.”
