As a person living in Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf or Merthyr Tydfil, you may be able to recognise when somebody isn’t quite themselves.
It’s important people living with dementia, carers, and their families receive the best possible support and care.
Improvement Cymru, together with health and social care professionals, people living with dementia and carers, have created a set of mandatory standards that are focused on improving dementia services.
These are known as the ‘All Wales Dementia Care Pathway of Standards’.
They will help those affected by dementia to understand their rights and entitlements, and receive the care they need.
We want to involve our communities in ensuring the standards are being met in Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.
This event will bring together people affected by dementia and professionals to look at the barriers and challenges faced by people. Together we can come up with solutions to improve services.
