The housing with care programme supports partners to develop suitable accommodation for older people with care needs, adults with learning disabilities or mental health issues, and young people leaving care.
This includes new small scale residential accommodation for children and young people; short to medium term accommodation for adults with higher needs or behavioural challenges, and intermediate care settings for carers, cared for people and children looked after. It can also fund respite care and rehabilitation.
This includes repairs, refurbishments to existing homes and other care settings. It can also include supply of equipment and aids, adaptations to existing accommodation and other small scale projects including digital aids and assistive technologies.
The Capital Board includes people from health, social services, housing, education and the third sector. They are responsible for working together to oversee the delivery of the regional capital strategy, to ensure the right facilities are in place for people living in the region.
